HowieHe passed away on Sunday. Was buried the next morning. My mom and I dug the hole. She stayed at home with me. I'm glad. I needed someone around. She told me to cry, and I did. Then I pushed it away. Like every other time.
My pride and joy is gone. Taken much too young. Just being here feels empty. I expect to see him waiting for me when I get home. He always knew when it was me. Always was there, outside my door, outside my window. Always making himself heard. Even at 3 in the morning. Pesky little bugger, but he was my little bugger.
